In Memory of Doug Loughmiller

Doug Loughmiller was a prince of a man.  He always had a kind word, a sincere, firm handshake and a funny story to tell..

I had coordinated one of our many Disty/Sushi get togethers years ago and Danny and Doug met and hit it off like magic...  So young and both hearts so full of promise, potential and purpose.   They only had eyes for each other... I remember Doug thanking me for introducing me to his soon to be future wife...    He was head over heels in love with the beautiful Danny Catash...who lovingly honored her vows... "for better and for worse, in sickness and in health"  God bless you, Danny~ for loving him so well.

Another story Doug shared with me at one of the Electronic shows was him relaxing after a long crazy week at work, sitting in his lawn chair, underneath his carport, sipping an adult beverage when he hears a scratching, scritching noise...   He tried to ignore it for a while, but it continued... he got out of his chair to search for the source of the noise and found himself face to face with an Ostrich... eyeball to eyeball.   He said he wasn't sure whether to scream or laugh but was unable to do either.  They stared at each other for about a minute and then he decided to go in to the house and get it some popcorn, which it gladly accepted.   He described it as surreal, watching an ostrich eat in his driveway..

Doug was a special caliber of man, respected by his peers and loved by many in the Electronics Industry.  He will be sorely missed.     Praying for the shattered hearts of those who loved him.

Sincerely,

Robyn Lucas, Ammon & Rizos
