Condolences

Condolence From: Purple sharks
Condolence: I’m sure he was very proud of your probation after nearly killing a postal truck driver while being high on drugs in Montana, strangling a woman in Paris, and being hopped up on methadone, morphine, and Adderall twenty four hours a day.

Condolence: I’ve truly struggled with my dad passing. So many things left unfinished so much lost time. I truly hope he knew I loved him and miss him dearly. He was my hero growing up, the man I emulated to become. He is missed and thought of everyday. How I wish I could turn back the time and make amends. He was loved by many he was a good friend, he accepted my friends as they were his own. He helped me greatly through some very trying times in my life. I didn’t know until closer to the end that everytime I was deployed he followed the news constantly and worried about me and my safety. I also found out how proud he was of me how I always bounced back no matter what life threw at me. I only wish he would have had more time to see my daughter grow up and to have at least had the chance to say goodbye. Don’t ever take any moment for granted because it can be swept away in a second! Make sure to tell the ones that mean the most that you love them because you never know if you may ever get the chance to say it one last time. Thank you for all the support through this difficult time.
V/r,
Jason Hardy

Condolence From: Steve Orrell
Condolence: I met Stan in elementary school, then again in Jr High when we moved back to Paris. Stan had a playfulness about him and seemed to be happy whenever we passed. In high school we weren't good friends, just the kind you'd known for so long. When we aged and discovered Facebook is when Stan and I had a better chance to share thoughts. I believe he did good things on this earth, for his family, friends, and strangers.

Condolence From: Joe Akers
Condolence: Stan lived next door to me growing up, from 4th grade through the 9th grade. Really the first friend I had when we moved to Paris in 1968. I think the last time we saw each other was high school graduation. Stan and I used to camp out in the backyard, listen to Steppenwolf and Iron Butterfly records on his Mom's console stereo, and ride bikes in the Johnswoods area. Stan will be missed. I am happy to have known him growing up and offer my sympathy to his family.

Condolence: Stan was a second father to me through the most formative years of my life. He treated me like one of his children. He was always there- kind, loving and supportive. Even though I haven't seen him in years, I am saddened by the loss of the man I knew. My thoughts and prayers are with the Hardy family as they grieve the loss of Stan.

Condolence: My deepest sympathy to Stan's family. While I don't recall ever meeting his children or grandchildren, from his Facebook posts, it was quite obvious his world revolved around you all.
Stan and I spent many evenings conversing at his parents' APCO station on the corner of 6th and Lamar Avenue. While we were two years apart in school, we were always friends. Sadly, over the years, at least since the late 1970's, our paths took different directions.
May God comfort you today and in the days ahead. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
