Obituary for Virginia Lois Justice
Virginia Lois Justice, age 83, of Deport, TX passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in Texarkana, TX with her family at her side. Services will be held Saturday, September 9, 2107 at 10:00 am in the Gene Roden Memorial Chapel of Roden-Pryor Funeral Directors. Brother Louis Smith will officiate. Visitation will take place Friday, September 8, 2017 from 6 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Hopewell Cemetery.
Virginia was born May 30, 1934 in Paris, TX to John Arthur and Rhoda Elizabeth (Griffin) Lay. She married Travis “Willie” Justice on September 19, 1958 and they remained married for 60 years until his death in January of 2017. She was a homemaker and spent most of her married life residing in Deport, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Faye O'Neal and Dixie Weeks, and two brothers, John William Lay and Gerry Lay. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Parker and son-in-law, Melvin Parker; grandsons, Jaden Parker of Texarkana and Jonathan Parker of Lewisburg, TN; one sister, Shirley Hernandez of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Arthur Lay (Joyce) of Paris, TX and Douglas Lay (Linda) of Bonham, TX; one sister-in-law, Maybell Bellamy of Paris, TX, plus a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearer is Jack Cloud, Everest Cloud, Jordan Cloud, Steve Moore, Craig McCann, Jake McCann.
