Obituary for Tina Harvey

Tina  Harvey
TINA WATSON HARVEY, formerly of Paris, Joshua, Canton, Cooper and Princeton Texas; a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, peacefully slipped into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 23, 2016 at 11:55 a.m. at the age of 56. She was surrounded by her family while she took her last breath. Tina, along with her loving husband of 33 years, dauntlessly fought against her illness to the very end.

A celebration of life with family and friends with dinner will be Wednesday May 25th from 6:00 p.m-8:00 p.m. at the Dunn Memorial Church 3829 FM 1827 McKinney Texas 75071.

The family will receive friends in Paris from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 405 West Kaufman, Paris; where Starrett Funeral Home will conduct funeral services at 11:00 a.m., following the visitation. A reception and luncheon will follow the service.


Tina was born on July 30, 1959 to a young Air Force couple who were serving in Plattsburgh New York, Retired Master Sergeant James Edward and Claudette Francis Watson. From then on Tina was in tow along with her younger sister Tammy Nanette Watson and infant brother James Edward Watson II who traveled all over Europe and the U.S. before settling back to Paris, Texas in 1977.

After graduating high school, Tina took a managerial position at an accounting and finance firm in Dennison Texas. There she was swept off her feet by a dashing young Marine who was home on leave by the name of Thomas Andrew Harvey. After a whirlwind romance, Tom and Tina were married on January 16th 1983. Soon after, the young couple had their hands full with the births of their children...the M&M Kids, Melissa and Matt.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Claudette Francis Green-Watson.


Tina is survived by her Husband Master Sergeant (retired Marine) Fire Chief Thomas Andrew Harvey of Princeton Texas. Daughter Mrs. Melissa Gail and Senior Airman Anthony Witt U.S.A.F. of Cooper, Texas, Son Fireman Matthew Ryan Harvey of Austin Texas, Brother/Son Fireman Joshua Allen Harvey of Forney Texas, not to mention her beloved grand babies, Carter Ryan Witt and Emily Jane Witt, Father James Edward Watson of Sumner Texas, Sister Tammy Nanette Watson-Waldron of Sumner Texas, and brother Sergeant Dallas Sheriff James Edward Watson II (Pooh) of Garland, Texas. With countless Nieces and Great Nieces and Nephews and Great Nephews.
