Love
All my life you displayed love through your actions. You loved all those around you. I remember one year for Christmas how much I wanted a doll lamp. You saved the money and surprised me with that lamp. I will never forget how happy I was and I realize now that you had to sacrifice something so I could have that gift. I still have that doll lamp. I remember all the times I sat around the kitchen table watching you drink coffee and telling stories. I was always begging you to let me try coffee and one day you finally gave me some. I quickly realized that I didn't like the taste and never ask for it again. Lucky for me you didn't make me drink it. I remember watching you "can" and telling me to stay away from the pressure cooker. You'd be happy to know I started canning this last year. How much I would have loved to be doing it with you. There are so many memories I could share, but one thing would be reflected in all of them "LOVE" because that is what you always showed me. When Alan came along and we married you showed that same love to him. We'll never forget all the Friday night dinners, the dominoes, and Grandpa saying "Lucille, get that boy a biscuit." You always could make anything taste good and I still miss your cooking to this day. I only wish I cook venison like you. There are so many memories you have left us with and I know I will cherish each one. I have always loved you so deeply and will miss you forever, but I know heaven has gained another angel. I love you Grandma and will carry you in my heart forever. Melanie
