Condolences

Condolence From: William H. (Bill) Fuller
Condolence: In childhood, I knew Rachel slightly through her friendship with my mother, Myra Fuller. When my wife and I returned my mother's ashes for burial at Biardstown's Antioch Cemetery, Rachel and John invited us to their home and were nothing less than the epitome of graciousness, courtesy, and supportive friendship. In Rachel's death, the world has lost a beacon of learning, of leadership, and of service, but we are all the better for having known her, and the world is brighter for having had her in it. Her contributions will endure for a very long time.

Condolence: Amy and family,

What a wonderful life of love and inspiration your mother lived. She truly followed 2 John 1-6.
We send our condolences, but know she is finally home and is rejoicing with her Savior.

Condolence: Amy and family ~ I join the throng of those who had deep respect for Rachel and will miss knowing she is present but also know her Earthly responsibilities were well done. Being a neighbor to your dad before they married, I always felt connected to them and still think fondly of her wedding announcement to John that said, having grown accustomed to our names we shall remain Rachel Braswell and John Howison. A good name is to be chosen over riches and wealth.
You are all in my prayers. Martha H.

Condolence: Rachel and I shared April 16 as our birthday. I enjoyed sharing a birthday with Rachel. She was a caring, vibrant lady who always made my day extra special.

As a teacher in Special Education, Rachel provided the down-to-earth guidance that aided me as I taught our shared students.

Last June, Rachel, Jack and I showed up at WONDER WOMAN at the local movie theater. Jack and I had "hitched a ride" with our granddaughter Codi, and Rachel was seeing the movie with Amy, her daughter.

As I look back on this beautiful day, I know that I was in the presence of two wonder women that day - one on the screen and one in the theater with me.

I will miss you Rachel. You were surely my shining beacon.

Love,

Ruth King
