David Thomas Butler, 49 of Paris, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017, at his residence. Roden-Pryor Funeral Directors have been entrusted with cremation arrangements.

A memorial service has been set for 6 p.m., on Tuesday, June 6, at the funeral home, with visitation set for one hour prior to service.

David was born July 18, 1967, to Robert Preston Butler Sr. and Lala Ann Morton Butler in Rochester, New York. He married the love of his life, Linda Katherine Alwardt Butler, on July 2, 2005.

David was preceded in death by his parents.

David is survived by his wife, Linda; a daughter, Gracelynn Boettcher, and husband, Chad, of Paris, Texas; a daughter, Macie Butler, of Paris, Texas; a son, David Butler II, of Paris, Texas; stepchildren, Kenneth Alwardt, Raymond Weatherbee and Jonathan Alwardt, all of Paris, Texas; a brother, Robert Butler Jr., and wife, Sue, of New York; a brother, Ronald Butler, and wife, Bonnie, of South Carolina; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
