Condolence: I am terribly sorry to hear about Tom's passing. I really had a lot of respect for his talent, knowledge, and contribution here at the plant. Please accept my condolences.

Condolence: I'm so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. There are few stories of issues here at the plant where Tom's expertise was not consulted or used to fix it. The operators always breathed a sigh of relief when Tom was on the job. I have missed the late night talks in the smoking pen with Tom since his retirement. He is missed. Prayers for the family.

Condolence From: David Horwath
Condolence: I'm sorry to hear about Tom. I worked with Tom starting in the late 70s and then through all the petrochemicals side of the Cedar Bayou Plant. You just felt better and more secure when Tom walked in because you knew he was one of the best. We need more people like Tom.

Condolence From: Larry Schwartz
Condolence: My sincerest condolences to the Roden family. I worked with Tom as well as Mike for many years when I was at Cedar Bayou. A great go to person for help on any topic. It was a pleasure to have known him and to have worked with him.

May he rest in peace!

Condolence From: Dave McCarty
Condolence: Dear Roden Family,

Echoing David Lanford's comments, Tom was fun to work with. He made things work, both technically and as a part of the team. He was missed when he retired and I'm sure he is doubly missed by all of you.

Condolence: The Roden Family,
I worked with Tom many years at the Cedar Bayou Facility for Gulf/Chevron/CPChem. A more honest, genuine and funny person you wouldn't want to meet. Honestly, I don't know what we would have done in the plant sometimes without Tom . He was always there to help, especially if you made fresh coffee. I had a WWII era M-1 carbine (my Dad's from his service) he inspected for me and verified it's ability to fire. I have so much respect for Tom. I miss him. I'm praying for your family. David Lanford
