Condolence: We are thinking of you on the 1st anniversary of your father's passing. Not a year goes by that a memory of growing up in Paris comes to mind, and a memory of our dear brother Elmer. What wonderful memories we know you have, and we have many ourselves. Your parents were dear, sweet people we dearly loved. God bless you during this time of reflection on his life in service to our God and our Lord and Savior. Dwight & Billie Sue Sowle

Condolence: Elmer L'Roy was such a great man. He baptized me when I was 10 years old and my earliest church memories include him. What a great loss to the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Betsy Mills

Condolence: Dear L'Roy Family, Our family moved to Paris in 1953, and placed our membership with the Lamar Avenue church of Christ where Elmer preached Right from the get-go our families became friends. Elmer baptized my sister Cheryl and me, and he officiated at Cheryl's wedding. We have nothing but fond memories of our friendship over the years, and will never forget those memories. I am, in part, where I am with my faith today because of the L'Roy family. We love you very much. Please accept our sincere condolences for your loss. We live in Tyler and plan on attending the memorial service. Elmer is "Absent from us, present with the Lord!" Hallelujah Dwight & Billie Sue Sowle Philippians 1:3-6

Condolence: Dear L'Roy Family, I have to second what Derald said. Some of my fondest memories are of the time that your family was at Lamar Avenue. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I know that he is in heaven having a reunion with all the ones that have gone before him. Sincerely, Nelda McFadden Skinner

Condolence: 8:31am Dear L'Roy family-- Just wanted your family to know you are in our thought and prayers today and for the days ahead. I have so many fond memories of my early childhood at LACOC, 707 Lamar, playing with Elmer A and the rock house, VBS and drinking chocolate soldiers until we were sick, and I can still hear your Dad singing 'Booster, Booster be a booster'! What a legacy he leaves and know there are many, many lives touched for the Kingdom because of his teachings. Hugs to all, Derald
