ALINE JOYCE HARGUS, 85, of Paris, died Sunday August 28th, 2016 at Brentwood Terrace Healthcare and Rehab Center in Paris, Texas. Roden-Pryor Funeral Directors will conduct services at 10:00 a.m. Thursday September 1, 2016 in the Chapel at the funeral home, with Rev. Randall Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday August 31st, 2016.

Aline was born March 19, 1931 in Brookston, Texas, a daughter of Roger Burnard Barnes and Maggie Bunch Barnes. She was a housewife, mother, confidant, and friend to many. By trade, she worked as bookkeeper for many years and multiple businesses, including Nahas, Vassarette, American National Insurance, Bill Bone Office Equipment, and Northeast United Life Insurance.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Hargus; a son, Billy Gene Hargus; three brothers Clarence Barnes, Claud Barnes, and Roger (Sonny) Barnes; and five sisters Edna Lester, Daphna Brown, Mable Lester, Bonnie Poteet, and Elenor Green.
Surviving is her closest next-of-kin, a loving niece, Linda Beard and husband, Roy Beard, of Paris; as well as other numerous nieces and nephews.
