CAROLYN DORIS LINDSEY, 91, of Paris, died Wednesday July 13, 2016 at the Heritage House Care Center in Paris, Texas. Starrett Funeral Home will conduct funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Friday July 15, 2016 in the Chapel at the funeral home, 425 South Church Street, Paris, Texas 75460, with Martin Clickard, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services.

Doris was born October 11, 1924 in Paris, Texas, a daughter of Martin L. Clickard, Sr. and Dolly Mae West. She was a housewife, mother, confidant, and friend to many.

She married her soulmate, Floyd Ray Lindsey on August 7, 1942 in Jefferson, Texas. The two enjoyed fifty-seven years of marriage and companionship until Floyd passed away on September 15, 1999.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna Long, and her fiancé, Stephen O’Tool, of Paris; a son, C.R. Lindsey, Sr. and wife Florence, of Paris; four grandchildren, C.R. Lindsey, Jr., Cory Wayne Lindsey, Larry “Bubba” Womack, Jr., and John Wesley Womack; two great-grandchildren, Derrick Lindsey and Christine Lindsey; as well as a host of extended family and friends who love and miss her dearly.

Named to serve as pallbearers are Steven Wilson, Cory Lindsey, Ray Lindsey, Larry Carl Womack, Wes Lindsey, Wayne Potts. Called to serve as honorary pallbearer is C.R. Lindsey, Sr.
