Obituary for Frances M. Hilliard

Frances M. Hilliard
FRANCES HILLIARD, 78, entered into peaceful rest at her home surrounded by her loving family on the morning of May 5th, 2016. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday May 7th, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM., immediately before the service. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Frances Johnson Hilliard was born June 26, 1937 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Lloyd and Myrtle Johnson. At a young age, the family moved to Texas where she later met her one and only true love, Billy Hilliard. At the age of fourteen they were married and their first child was born when she was only sixteen years old. During their 61 years of marriage, they had seven children and the family grew quickly to include grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She cherished every moment with family and friends and she gave a piece of her heart and soul to every life she touched.

She is survived by her seven children, Jimmy and wife Tammy of Springtown, Texas; Larry and wife Ever of Paris; a daughter, Janis and husband Phillip Brown of LaRue, Texas; daughter Brenda and husband Danny Newby of Garland, Texas; daughter Cyndi and husband Randy Allen of Paris, son Buck and wife Donna of Roxton; and daughter Shelly and husband Kenneth McCloud of Sumner. She had thirteen grand-children and twelve great grand-children. She leaves behind her beloved companion, a weenie dog, Buddy.

She was preceded in death by both parents, a husband, the love of her life, Billy Hilliard, and two grandchildren.

The family asks that Frances always be remembered as she was in life: happy and with a smile, especially when surrounded by those she loved. With so many in her life to be loved, “the more the merrier,” seems a fitting hallmark of generosity from such a precious lady. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren would like to express, “She will never be forgotten. Mama remember, we will always love you more.”

The family would also like to extend their gratitude to Julie Green for going above and beyond to help out when needed. As if mama were her very own, Julie has shown the same loving kindness.

With Love and thanks, The Hilliard Family
