Obituary for Kevin Hudgens

Kevin  Hudgens
KEVIN LYN HUDGENS, 39, went home to heaven on October 6, 2015at his home in Paris. Starrett Funeral Home will conduct funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Saturday October 10, 2015 at East Paris Baptist Church, with Rev. Donnie Edwards and Rev. Ryan Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery. Members of the Faught Volunteer Fire Department will stand as Honor Guard, and the East Texas Patriot Guard Riders will serve as escorts.

The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 until service time on Saturday.

He was born in Paris on June 8, 1976 to Deborah Lynn and Boyd Wayne Hudgens. Kevin was a graduate of Chisum High School and the Fire and EMS program at A&M Commerce.

He married Wendi Carpenter on August 5, 1994 and together they shared 21 beautiful years. They have ten year old twins, Clayton Thomas and John Wesley. Also surviving are his parents, Debbie and Boyd Hudgens, of Paris; his mother-in-law, Deb Stanphill, of Paris; his father-in-law, and J.R. Carpenter, of Kermit.His family was second only to His commitment to serving God.

Kevin was loving husband and father, an accomplished musician, an avid outdoors man, a devoted emergency services worker, a skilled carpenter, but most of all he was an humble servant of Lord Jesus Christ. He and his family were members of East Paris Baptist Church were he was the drummer on the praise team, and they also served at the EPBC Aspire Mission Station.

Serving as pallbearers will be the Faught Fire Department whom he considered to be his brothers.
