Obituary for Cecil D. Tuttle

CECIL DONALDSON TUTTLE, 81, of Abilene, formerly of Paris, died Saturday April 18, 2015 at The Oaks at Radford Hills in Abilene. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home, with private burial following the service in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.

Cecil Donaldson Tuttle was born July 17, 1933 to Vergil and Annie Tuttle. He married Mary Alice Steelman on January 5, 1957. They had three children, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren

A faithful member of the Church of Christ, he was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ in Abilene. He was a retired welder, having spent a long career with Babcock and Wilcox in Paris.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary; a son, William Anderson; his parents; and six siblings.

He is survived by two daughters, Gladys Jacobs and husband Dan, and Barbara Jones; two granddaughters, Rena Seay Koniceck and husband Todd, of Abilene, and Sonia Suarez, of Orlando, Florida; a grandson, Cecil Anderson and wife Natalie, of Dickinson; great-grandchildren Austin, Zachery and Alexandria, of Virginia; and a brother, Joe Tuttle, of Abilene. Local survivors include two nephews, Randy Tuttle and Joe David Tuttle, both of Paris.
