Obituary for Margaret Zoe Erwin (Weaver)

Margaret Zoe  Erwin (Weaver)
MARGARET ZOE ERWIN, 76, of Ben Franklin, passed from this life Monday January 26, 2015 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 31, 2015 in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home, with Rev. Al Clark and Rev. Reuben Trussell officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Ben Franklin.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Zoe was born September 19, 1938 in Lamar County, a daughter of Floyd D. and Viola Christine Bush Weaver. She was a graduate of Pecan Gap schools, and spent a long career as a waitress and restaurant manager. She was a member of the Pecan Gap Baptist Church, and also gave of her time in serving in the Women’s Organization in the Ben Franklin church. Additionally, she was involved with the Women’s Auxiliary of the VFW and the Ben Franklin Water Supply Corporation. Her greatest joys were the times spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her love and wisdom will be greatly missed.

She married Lealon Autrey Erwin on June 25, 1993 in Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, David Floyd Weaver, Jr. and Gene Weaver; and a great-grandson, Adrian Tony Murphy.

Survivors include her husband Lealon, of the home; a son, John Draper and wife Joy, of Paris; five daughters, Donna Klonower and husband Trey, of Los Colinas, Gloria Fox and husband Jim, of Reno, Peggy Coward and husband Lawrence, of Powderly, Priscilla Thompson, of Paris, and Zoelinda Farley and husband Ronnie, of Houston; two step-sons, Lealon Erwin, and Kelley Erwin, both of Petty; three step-daughters, Lavonda Meeks and Lea Ann Cavins, both of Ada, Oklahoma, and Denise Cato, of Fayetteville Oklahoma; twenty-four grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marjorie Bettis and husband Lynn, of Coulterville, California and Kay Heath and husband Reagan, of Ben Franklin; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Named to serve as pallbearers are Chris Mayfield, Tony Murphy, Brad Scott, Aaron Coburn, Jason Draper and Sonny Griffith. Honorary pallbearers are Jonathan Mayfield and Shane Fox.
