Wanda Ann Archer (Jones)
WANDA ANN JONES ARCHER, aka ‘Grandma’, 75, of Faught, passed away surrounded by family at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas on Saturday July 5, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 8, 2014 in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Dickey officiating. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Gardens.
The family willl receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Wanda was born in Jennings to Otto and Hazel Dockery Jones on March 1, 1939. She married TSgt Tillman J Archer on Feburary 22, 1955, and traveled the world to Europe, Africa, and all over the United States. She was a woman of many traits, enjoyed many things, but her most prized possession was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Tillman; a daughter, Linda Archer; sisters, Shirley Pate, and Mary Lollar and husband, Jerry; brother, Charles Jones, and a brother-in-law, Lloyd Frazier.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Archer and wife Robbie, of Paris and Daniel Archer and wife Christie, of Timpson; grandchildren Ena Black, of Paris, Mitzi Boehlar and husband Wayne, of Reno, MacKenzie Archer, of Dallas, Steven Holt, of San Antonio, Michael Holt, of Paris, Tanar Gilaspie, of Dallas, Jace, Cade, and Kendall Archer, of Timpson; great-grandchildren Brenton Black and wife Bessi, of Paris, Mitchell Black and wife Brooke, of Paris, Sean and Ashlyn Price, of Reno; great-great grandchildren Levi and Sarah, of Paris; a sister Bonnie Frazier, of Paris; and a multitude of special friends and extended family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Arron Honsinger (standing in for Honorary Pallbearer Marine PFC Sean Price), Ciro Peralta, Jace and Cade Archer, Joseph Passano, Jonathan Archer, Michael and Steven Holt.
