Obituary for Zenobia L. "Tooter" Parsons

ZENOBIA LUCILLE PARSONS, 75, of Paris, passed from this life on Sunday October 27, 2013 at Brentwood Terrace. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday October 31, 2013 in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home, with Rev. Rocky Burrow officiating. A private interment will take place on Tuesday November 4, 2013 in the DFW National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Parsons was born January 14, 1938 in Chattanooga, Oklahoma, a daughter of Harry Matthew and Hassel Mae Woodrel Porter. She was retired from Paris Independent School District, where she worked in Food Service, many of those years at T.G. Givens. She was a member of the Emberson Baptist Church.

Zenobia was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ruth Reeves and Dean Bayliffe, and a brother, Jackie Porter.

On October 3, 1969, she married Aubrey Neil Parsons, in Paris.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband Aubrey; a daughter, Linda Cheryl Hammond, of Cookson, Oklahoma; two sons, Jeffrey David Neal, of Pittsburg and Randall Emory Neal, of Huntsville; four grandsons; four granddaughters; and a host of friends.
