Doyle Dean O'Bannon
DEAN O’BANNON, 64, of Paris, died Saturday February 2, 2008 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Starrett Funeral Home conducted graveside rites at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 6, 2008 at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas, with Rev. Gerald Huckabee officiating.
Mr. O’Bannon was born May 9, 1943 in Boswell, OK, a son of Burl Joseph and Juanita Marie Hicks O’Bannon. He was a graduate of Texas schools, then served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was of the Christian faith. A former laboratory technician in optical manufacturing, he was known for his keen sense of humor. Doyle was an avid reader. A lover of books, he was keen on philosophy. Mostly he was a loving grandfather to Jacob, and was looking forward to a new grandchild in the summer to come.
He is survived by one son, Julian O’Bannon and wife Dona, of Monroe, WA; his grandson Jacob William O’Bannon; his mother, Juanita Etheridge; two brothers, Burl O’Bannon, of Lewisville and Julian Etheridge, of Forney; two nephews and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his father.
