Obituary for Dolly Juanita Easley (Wilkerson)

DOLLY JUANITA EASLEY, 85, of Paris, passed from this life Friday April 12, 2013 at Stillhouse Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 16, 2013 in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. M0nday at the funeral home.

Juanita was born April 9, 1928 in Chicota, a daughter of Thurman and Blanche Sheldon Wilkerson. She attended Chicota schools, then became a consummate homemaker, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a member of the Immanuel Bapist Church.

She married Raymond Lincoln Easley on May 7, 1946 in Paris.

Juanita was known for her kind, sweet spirit; a true woman of God and a mighty prayer warrior. She was known for her sense of humor, and loved to share jokes and funny stories. Her greatest joys were the hours spent with her family and sharing her table and home with all whom she loved.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond Leeman Easley and Gary Don Easley; two sisters; and by five brothers.

She is survived by her husband Raymond, of the home; seven children, Judy Frazier, Sherry Easley, Danny Easley and wife JoNell, all of Paris, Keith Easley and wife Deanna, of Midland, Jane Mackey and husband Brent, of Lubbock, Shelia Field and husband Randy, of Lubbock, and Juron Grady Easley, of Paris; twenty grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends who loved her.

Named to serve as pallbearers are Joe Luby, Les Nichols, James Martin, Jeremy Posey, Zack Posey, John Frazier,Russell Frazier, and Chad Johnson.
